Anyone who’s anyone knows LSDXOXO’s touch is hot. Philly-born, Berlin-based RJ Glasgow’s rise has been meteoric, from his breakthrough years in New York’s GHE20GOTH1K parties to landmark EPs on XL Recordings. The secret lies in his ability to straddle upfront pop hooks with deadly underground club nous, wrapped up in a big bow of devilishly sex-positive self-belief that communicates to everyone’s inner demon.

Remixing for bona fide legends Lady Gaga, Pink Pantheress, Shygirl, Tokischa and collaborating with VTSS, Eartheater and Tygapaw, Glasgow has also lent his extraordinary producer skills to Kelela for her recent Raven LP on Warp. Following his May residency on BBC Radio 1, June has seen LSDXOXO DJ as opening act for Beyonce’s Renaissance shows in Germany as well as main stages of Primavera Sound (B2B VTSS) and Field Day (B2B Juliana Huxtable). In October, he will return with a live show tour in London, Paris and Berlin.

On Delusions Of Grandeur (D.O.G.) EP, he is in no mood to hold back, lyrically or musically. The next single ‘Devil’s Chariot’ borrows the divine-like melody of Oklou’s hit ‘God’s Chariots,’ which falls straight into LSDXOXO’s uptempo dancefloor instincts with a melancholic reflection on his high-wire life. Glasgow expands on the single: “Devil’s Chariot is further exploration of the sad yet sexy sound that I’ve experimented with over the years, but with a slightly more personal touch. When I heard “God’s Chariot” by Oklou (sampled on DC), the syrupy vocals and production drew me in instantly. I wanted to use the sample here as a canvas for a very different story, but also as an appreciative nod to Oklou for creating such a beautiful piece of music.”

“Delusions of Grandeur was created as a bridging of worlds for what people know my sound to be and what it will become over the span of my next few projects,” Glasgow continues about his latest release and the new label: ”as the name suggests, Fantasy Audio Group (F.A.G.) is being established as a record label for queer artists by a queer artist. The goal in forming this label is to give platform and resources to the overlooked and often under-celebrated artists coming from backgrounds similar to my own. The music we champion is forward thinking, and our approach to working with musicians will be as well.”
